Deckerville is 2-8 against Peck since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Deckerville Eagles will be staying on the road to face off against the Peck Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Deckerville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Unionville-Sebewaing, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory.
Meanwhile, Peck didn't have too much trouble with Mayville at home on Friday as they won 50-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Peck.
Peck's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas West, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. West hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Carsten Lieblang, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Deckerville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Peck, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Deckerville came up short against Peck in their previous matchup back in January, falling 51-40. Can Deckerville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
