Several Minutemen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payten Gary, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Denbigh Baptist Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Spirit HomeSchool, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.
After both having extra time off, Denbigh Baptist Christian and Gateway Christian will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
