Basketball Recap: Elida's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Elida was the 65-50 winner over Dexter when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Elida Tigers lost to the Dexter Demons on the road by a 51-34 margin on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Elida still got an impressive performance from Radlee Ferguson, who posted 13 points.

Leading Dexter to victory were Cj Granados and Matthias Salas. Granados dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Salas had 13 points and seven steals. What's more, Salas also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Rigo Regalado was another key player, putting up ten points.

Elida's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Dexter, their record now sits at 5-10.

Elida wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-15 victory against Lake Arthur on the 23rd. Dexter has also already played their next match, a 56-43 loss against Hagerman on the 23rd.
