Basketball Recap: King Wins Going Away Against North Mesquite

King picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past the North Mesquite Stallions 59-36. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabriella Grigsby, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Grigsby has become a key player for North Mesquite: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least eight boards, but 2-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Syniyah Grigsby, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

King's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for North Mesquite, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-28 win against Atascocita on the 10th. As for North Mesquite, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-33 victory against Seagoville on the 10th.
