It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Cornerstone Eagles can now relate to. They took a hard 61-46 fall against the Knights on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cornerstone in their matchups with Altamont: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Cornerstone lost, one person who can't be blamed is De'Marion Burks. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burks has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Holder, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds.
Cornerstone dropped their record down to 9-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Altamont, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-9.
Cornerstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Altamont also has no future games currently scheduled.
