Pieper wouldn't let Boerne keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Kylor Scheppler, Cash Maroney, and Thor Myklebust picked up one apiece. Boerne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hank Hendrix, who threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. That's the most total yards Hendrix has posted since back in October of 2023. Brooks Perez was Hendrix's top target, picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Pieper will take on Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boerne, they will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against United at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
