San Fernando has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Fernando knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Roosevelt likes a good challenge.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only San Fernando walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 43-6 win over Hollywood at home. San Fernando might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.
San Fernando's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Castro, who picked up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Adrian Anguiano was another key contributor, rushing for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wilson on Friday, but they still walked away with a 30-24 win. The victory was just what Roosevelt needed coming off of a 49-16 defeat in their prior contest.
Their wins bumped San Fernando to 10-1 and Roosevelt to 5-6.
