Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Nativity BVM

Nativity BVM had won two straight games and Trey Keating did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Nativity BVM Green Wave came out on top against Weatherly by a score of 81-69 thanks in part to Keating, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 boards. The matchup was his 20th in a row with at least ten points.

Noah Dolbin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Several Weatherly players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corbin Wagner, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 22 points along with eight steals and seven boards. With that strong performance, Wagner is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Mckeegan, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Nativity BVM pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Weatherly, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nativity BVM and Tri-Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Weatherly, they will face off against MMI Preparatory School at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Weatherly has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests.
