Guthrie had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Ponca City Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since March 9th.

Guthrie saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Clymer, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Guthrie's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Ponca City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Coincidentally, Guthrie and Ponca City will both be playing Newcastle the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Racers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bluejays will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
