Fans got a thrill when Malik Henry and Andre Baccellia connected against Newbury Park. The connection went for 86 yards, the longest such play in Marmonte - East this season.
St. Bonaventure was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league.
Baccellia had an awesome week catching the football as Westlake defeated the Panthers. He caught 6 passes for 219 yards.
Henry threw for 388 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 16-24 with 0 interceptions.
Henry put up the best numbers through the air as the Warriors bested Newbury Park. Henry's favorite target this week was Baccellia, who caught 6 passes for 219 yards.
Westlake's Henry and Baccellia led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Henry has thrown for 1,648 yards this season, while Baccellia has 32 catches for 678 yards. Matthew Matlock from Gary Fabricius' team leads the league in rushing with 1,025 yards.
One of Marmonte - East's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Jim Benkert's team and Simi Valley face off next week.
The Pioneers are currently in third, while the Warriors are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Simi Valley and Westlake face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Ryan Taggart's team comes in having scored 256 this season, while the Warriors have scored 250. The Pioneers scored 49 points last week as they lost to Royal.
Westlake added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Panthers, 33-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Warriors.
