The Rolesville Rams suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-52 loss at the hands of Millbrook. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rolesville in their matchups with Millbrook: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Long, who scored nine points. Cannon Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Colt Langdon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millbrook, scoring 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Langdon has scored at least a third of Millbrook's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Olander, who scored 16 points.
Rolesville's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Millbrook, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rolesville will take on Knightdale at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightdale presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rolesville in North Carolina (Knightdale is ranked 121st, while Rolesville is ranked 335th). As for Millbrook, they will head out on the road to face off against Wakefield at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakefield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
