The Falcon Falcons came tearing into Wednesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mitchell 69-29 on the road. With Falcon ahead 43-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falcon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Cox, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Cox also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Bertholf, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Falcon pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Mitchell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Falcon will be playing at home against the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the Falcons likes a good challenge. As for Mitchell, they will head out on the road to take on the Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sand Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday.
