The Whitehall Railroaders will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Hartford Central Tanagers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Whitehall unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak last Friday. Their tough 45-25 defeat to Lake George might stick with them for a while. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, Whitehall couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Hartford Central might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Crown Point an easy 63-37 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hartford Central has scored all season.
Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Hartford Central, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Everything went Whitehall's way against Hartford Central when the teams last played two weeks ago as Whitehall made off with a 65-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitehall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
