This season hasn't been kind to the Bluegrass Blazers, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 40-22 to Christian Educational Consortium. Bluegrass lost against Christian Educational Consortium in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-16 score last time.
Christian Educational Consortium got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel King out in front who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. King hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Wyndham, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Bluegrass' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Christian Educational Consortium, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluegrass will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Tennessee Heat at 12:00 p.m. on January 30th. Tennessee Heat has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they will head out on the road to challenge Louisville Saints HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Louisville Saints HomeSchool is ranked 180th, while Christian Educational Consortium is ranked 164th).
