The South Johnston Trojans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against West Johnston by a score of 66-57. The win was just what South Johnston needed coming off of a 91-45 loss in their prior match.
West Johnston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kameron Taylor, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Caden Horay was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
South Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for West Johnston, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Johnston won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southern Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for West Johnston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fike at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
