The Hanna Golden Eagles will square off against the Rio Hondo Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hanna is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Hanna turned things around against Hidalgo on Friday. They blew past the Pirates 24-3. The Golden Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Samantha Aldape made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kaitlyn Flores was a standout: she scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Sol Guzman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Hanna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 3-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Rio Hondo didn't have quite enough to beat Los Fresnos on Friday and fell 7-5. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mia Galvan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Rocha, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
Hanna picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-8-1. As for Rio Hondo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Rio Hondo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hanna has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Rio Hondo, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Hanna's sizable advantage in that area, Rio Hondo will need to find a way to close that gap.
