Basketball Recap: Elkhart Skates Past Moscow with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhart). They blew past the Moscow Wildcats, posting a 79-15 victory. Given Elkhart's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Moscow is ranked 291st), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elkhart's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Moscow, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhart will host Sublette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sublette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Elkhart likes a good challenge. As for Moscow, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Moscow Wildcats duke it out with the Western Plains Bobcats on Tuesday.
