Rose came out on top against New Bern by a score of 65-53 on Thursday. This was a revenge matchup for J.H. Rose, as the team was forced to settle for a 60-59 defeat when these two played last Monday.
J.H. Rose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Torry "TJ" Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Keyes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
J.H. Rose's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for New Bern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will take on Havelock at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
