The Hudson Cobras scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Zephyrhills Christian Academy by a score of 61-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hudson.
Hudson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydnie Johnson`, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Veronica Uhrig, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson and Zephyrhills will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on All Saints' Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
