The Decatur Seahawks waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 69-61 win over Bennett. Given Decatur's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Clippers are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Decatur to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davin Chandler, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Coleman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Decatur pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Bennett, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
Decatur will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wicomico's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Bennett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
