Jones has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Victory Christian Conquerors at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jones had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Davis with a 30-26 victory on Friday.
It was another big night for Clayton Creasey, who rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Creasey was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian's offense rose to the challenge against a Red Devils defense that boasted an average of only 13.5 points allowed. Victory Christian walked away with a 52-39 victory over Prague on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Christian.
Jones' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.6 points per game. As for Victory Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Jones, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-20 loss to Victory Christian when the teams last played back in September of 2014. Can Jones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
