Millard South has struggled against Lincoln Southwest recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Millard South's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Cooper, who scored 17 points. Koby Meyers was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Lincoln Southwest was led to victory by Braden Frager and Bj Bradford. Frager scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds, while Bradford scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Frager has scored at least 25% of Lincoln Southwest's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mari Shumaker, who scored 9 points.
Millard South's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lincoln Southwest, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Omaha North the next time they take the court. Millard South will head out to face Omaha North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lincoln Southwest will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
