The Dayton Christian WARRIORS were the 60-49 winner over the Legacy Christian Academy Knights when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Dayton Christian took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy Christian Academy on Friday.
Legacy Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Thompson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Thompson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Michael Little, who scored 17 points.
Dayton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayton Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Loramie at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Fort Loramie is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
