Meanwhile, Brewer came up short against Decatur on Tuesday and fell 46-36. Brewer has struggled against Decatur recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Jackson Dunn, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. He scored a full 44.4% of Brewer's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Austyn Holmes was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Russellville and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Brewer, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
