After flying high against the Faribault Falcons last Thursday, the Owatonna Huskies came back down to earth. Owatonna was the victim of a tough 62-39 defeat at the hands of Mayo on Tuesday. Owatonna lost against Mayo in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-50 score last time.
Despite the loss, Owatonna still got an impressive performance from Carsyn Brady, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersey Coleman, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Owatonna now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mayo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Owatonna will head out on the road to face off against Mankato West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mayo, they will be playing at home against Hastings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
