The River Rouge Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Center Line Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Rouge will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Last Thursday, River Rouge got themselves on the board against University Prep Science & Math, but University Prep Science & Math never followed suit. They blew past the Cobra 60-0 at home. Given River Rouge's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while University Prep Science & Math is ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Center Line were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 58-12 loss at the hands of Marine City. Center Line was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
River Rouge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Center Line, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
