Statesville Christian and the Barracudas are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Statesville Christian Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the University Christian Barracudas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought match, but Statesville Christian had to settle for a 30-27 defeat against the Eagles. Statesville Christian has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, University Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak back in January. They took a hard 41-27 fall against Hickory Christian Academy.
Statesville Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for University Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Things could have been worse for Statesville Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-21 loss to the Barracudas in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Statesville Christian, Sophie Deese (who scored 17 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
