Thomas Nelson extended their losing streak to 15 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-17. They lost 17-2 to the Hart County Raiders. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 27, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Ryan Peters was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Parsley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
As for Hart County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-21. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.
On Hart County's side, Bryson Huff made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. Huff was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Hart County got a massive performance out of Gage Owens, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. The Raiders are undefeated when Owens posts two or more stolen bases, but 9-21 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Martin, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
