Northwestern came into Tuesday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Hillsdale Falcons with a 57-53 win on Tuesday. The Huskies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Northwestern's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Hillsdale, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Northwestern and Hillsdale could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Northwestern (ranked 602nd) will meet Smithville (ranked 51st) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hillsdale will square off against Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 403 places (584 vs. 181).
