Volleyball Recap: Eureka Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Eureka had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 14-12 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Rockwood Summit Falcons by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Falcons back in April, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Eureka's offense was headlined by Justin Klipsch and Jack McMillen, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Jett Wilken and his 36 assists. Sutton Reed controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

As for Rockwood Summit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-11-1 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-11-1.

Despite the loss, Rockwood Summit still got an impressive performance from Michael Rossomanno, who had 11 digs.

Looking ahead, Eureka will venture away from home to square off against St. Francis Borgia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockwood Summit will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against the Knights, they'll take on Rockwood Summit again at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
