The Timber Creek Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Keller on the road and fell 78-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Timber Creek in their matchups with Keller: they've now lost eight in a row.
Timber Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Moore, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Moore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryne Lane, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Keller was led to victory by Steven Ramirez and Brooks Bahr. Ramirez scored 22 points along with four steals, while Bahr scored 32 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bahr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rhett Schank, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Timber Creek has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Keller, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 24-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timber Creek will take on Keller Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timber Creek is coming into the game with four straight losses at home, so Keller Central is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Keller will take on V.R. Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keller knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully V.R. Eaton likes a good challenge.
