Softball Recap: Trinity Beats Milton Hershey for Their Fourth Straight Win

Trinity waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Milton Hershey Spartans get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Aubrie Holtzapple looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bridget Schalk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Zea Sullivan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Trinity was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .647. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Milton Hershey, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Trinity will take on Littlestown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Milton Hershey, they will head out on the road to take on Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
