The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-58 to Temple Christian. Timberlake Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Timberlake Christian still got an impressive performance from Adrian Warrick, who scored 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Warrick has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Epps, who scored 12 points.
Temple Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Cash led the charge by scoring 17 points. Silas Walker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Timberlake Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Temple Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Timberlake Christian will head out on the road to face off against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Tuesday. As for Temple Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roanoke Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m.
