Greater Atlanta Christian strolled past Chattahoochee with points to spare, taking the game 44-28.
Leading Greater Atlanta Christian to victory were Myla Benton and Asia Johnson. Benton scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Johnson scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Johnson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sydney Lucas, who scored nine points.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Berninger, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Loren Withrite, who scored 11 points.
Greater Atlanta Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Chattahoochee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greater Atlanta Christian will take on North Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Springs is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Chattahoochee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
