The Lincoln Prep Lightning's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Hayden at home by a decisive 55-36 margin. If Lincoln Prep hoped to take revenge for the 54-33 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Lincoln Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mark Cornell, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Nielsen, who scored three points along with two steals.
Lincoln Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Hayden, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Prep will take on Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
