Chenango Valley entered their tilt with Waverly on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Wolverines by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  5-1. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Cole Trebilcock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Ben Kresge was  excellent,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.  Angelo Rogers also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Chenango Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Waverly, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
Chenango Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
