Rampart's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haydn Benoit, who scored 10 points. Deangelo Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Douglas County was led to victory by London Moore and Reilly Guerra. Moore scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds, while Guerra scored 22 points along with 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Guerra has scored at least 25% of Douglas County's points. Another player making a difference was Tyson Smith, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Rampart now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Douglas County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Rampart will be playing at home against Palmer Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Douglas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ralston Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
