The Chandler Wolves will square off against the Marana Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Chandler is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Chandler's last matchup with Mountain View could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Wolves lost 11-3 to the Toros. The Wolves have struggled against the Toros recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Lily Kolsrud made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Angelina Peralta Barbosa, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Marana got themselves on the board against Desert Ridge on Friday, but Desert Ridge never followed suit. They blew past the Jaguars 10-0. Considering the Tigers have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Adella Foxhoven tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bella Sayre, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Silverstein, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Marana always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Ridge only posted an OBP of .167.
Chandler's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Marana, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chandler has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Marana struggles in that department as they've averaged .513. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
