The Farmington Knights will challenge the Windsor Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Farmington lost a heartbreaker the last time they played DeSoto, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Dragons a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Aiden Redmond made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Cooper Tripp was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trevor Sutherland, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Farmington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Windsor made easy work of Affton on Monday and carried off a 10-0 victory. The matchup marked the Owls' most dominant win of the season so far.
Windsor got a big performance out of Owen Haegele, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Haegele hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Murphy, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Farmington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Windsor, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Farmington has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Farmington was able to grind out a solid victory over Windsor in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 10-6. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
