The West Point Pointers suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 72-35 loss at the hands of Carver College and Career Academy. West Point was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-15.
Brandon Hill was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five assists and four steals for Carver College and Career Academy. Hill hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Dasan Oliver was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists and four steals.
West Point's loss was their 16th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Carver College and Career Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Maggie Walker is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Carver College and Career Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Middlesex at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Middlesex focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
