Even though the Loudon Redskins scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, the Sweetwater Wildcats still came out on top. Sweetwater managed a 67-62 victory over Loudon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sweetwater.
Sweetwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Alford, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Alford has scored at least a third of Sweetwater's points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Burgess, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Sweetwater has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Loudon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweetwater will challenge Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meigs County is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Loudon, they will head out on the road to face off against Roane County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Roane County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Loudon likes a good challenge.
