Florence Christian has not had much luck with Pee Dee Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Florence Christian saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Poston dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Poston is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.
Florence Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Pee Dee Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-8.
Florence Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 22.1 points per game this season, so Florence Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Pee Dee Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
