Herman Fennell III and Brady Washechek provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Wall. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in 9-Man Freelance (9 Man) this season.
Marion was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in the league. The Bears defeated Tripp-Delmont/Armour 52-0 earlier in the week.
Stanley County's dynamic duo of Fennell III and Washechek proved tough for the Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fennell III threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns and Washechek had 175 yards receiving. Wyatt Harrowa helped Stanley County's passing attack out by catching three balls for 36 yards.
Andrew Grassi was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 152 yards as Marion fell to Wall. Nick Gortmaker also contributed to the rushing game with 86 yards on the ground.
Stanley County's Fennell III and Washechek have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 9-Man Freelance (9 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Fennell III has thrown for 411 yards this season, while Washechek, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has nine catches for 249 yards. Todd Obele Sr.'s team's Grassi leads the league in rushing yards with 572.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Kimball/White Lake and Corsica/Stickney. The Kiotes enters the contest ranked third in the state, while the Comets ranks 22nd.
Kimball/White Lake extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lyman, 45-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Kiotes.
