Basketball Recap: Mount Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mount Hope Christian Academy lost against Pipestem Christian Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors fell 61-48 to the Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Hope Christian Academy lost, don't look at TALAN CARON. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 13 en route to 16 points along with eight boards and seven assists. CARON is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed five or more in the last four games he's played. CAYDEN SNYDER was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Pipestem Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Enoch Gonderman dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards and Silas Mattox posted 15 points and six rebounds. What's more, Mattox also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dove, who had nine points.

Mount Hope Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
