The Liberty Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their third straight  loss. They took a  35-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monticello. Liberty has not had much luck with Monticello recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Amiah Neails had an outrageously good game for Monticello as she  scored 17 points along with three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Morgan Hutchins, who  scored six points along with nine  rebounds.
 Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Monticello, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
 Liberty will head out on the road to  square off against  Beacon at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Beacon's defense has only allowed 28.5  points per game  this season, so Liberty's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Monticello, they will look to defend their home court  on Monday against Washingtonville at 6:30  p.m. Hopefully Monticello focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
