Volleyball Recap: Draughn Has No Trouble Against Patton

Draughn had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Patton on Thursday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The matchup marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Draughn got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 34-32, 25-12.

Bailey Mozeley paced Draughn's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mozeley got some help from Shelby Proffitt and her 13 assists. Macy Auton controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Draughn now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Patton, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.

Coming up, Draughn is taking a road trip to square off against East Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patton, they will host R-S Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Hilltoppers at the right time seeing as the Hilltoppers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
