Independence made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lipscomb Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Mustangs 11-4 on Friday. The Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th.

The victory made it two in a row for Independence and bumps their season record up to 12-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Lipscomb Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
