On Tuesday, Jacobs came up short against Lake Zurich and fell 57-44. It was the first time this season that Jacobs let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Jacobs still got an impressive performance from Treval Howard, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Howard's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Ben Jirak was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jacobs' defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-8. As for Lake Zurich, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Barrington at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Barrington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jacobs in Illinois (Barrington is ranked 61st, while Jacobs is ranked 291st).
