Covenant Day had a rough outing against Charlotte Christian last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Covenant Day walked away with a 28-14 win. The success represented a nice turnaround for them, who in their last game suffered a tough 0-58 loss.
The victory bumped Covenant Day's record up to 1-2. The defeat dropped Cannon's record to 1-3.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Covenant Day will stay at home next week against Victory Christian at 7:00 PM. Cannon will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Providence Day in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
