Softball Recap: East Stroudsburg South Has No Trouble Against East Stroudsburg North

East Stroudsburg South's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves as they made off with a 15-5 win. With that victory, the Cavaliers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Taylor Carey and Joslynn Yurescko made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Carey tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Yurescko pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Carey scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Yurescko scored four runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Yurescko a new career-high.

In other batting news, East Stroudsburg South got a massive performance out of Nina Venslosky, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was Venslosky's first of the season. Johanna Carey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

East Stroudsburg South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

East Stroudsburg South's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for East Stroudsburg North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
